A new season has kicked off on the Hanover plain with Big Green athletes continuing to impress. In the opening meet of the season, sophomore Curtis King led wire to wire in winning the men's cross country invitational. Sophomore Lottie MacAulay, playing in the second tournament of the fall was named to the Jack Kaiser All-Tourament team.
Their efforts are rewarded by being named the Northeast Credit Union Athletes of the Week.
Each week, DartmouthSports.com will spotlight two outstanding student-athletes - one male, one female - as the Northeast Credit Union Athletes of the Week. Student-athletes may be chosen based upon their efforts both on and off the field of competition.
Lottie MacAulay, So. Mercer Island, Wash., MB, Volleyball
At the John Kaiser Tournament over the weekend, sophomore Lottie MacAulay helped lead the Dartmouth volleyball team to three victories, including its first-ever win over host St. John's. In four matches, she had a total of 33 kills, four digs, and four aces. All of her aces occurred in the five-set win over St. John's. For her efforts she was named to the All-Tournament team, her second honor this fall.
Curtis King, Jr. Wuana, Wash., Cross Country
In the season-opening meet of the year, Curtis King claimed victory at the 2014 Dartmouth Invitational Saturday morning on the 8K course at the Hanover Country Club. Leading from start to finish, King crossed the line in 24:25.3 and helped the Big Green to the team victory with 21 points.
