KANSAS CITY, Mo. – For the 10th year in a row and the 11th time overall, the Dartmouth men's soccer team was recognized by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) as one of the recipients of the 2014-15 Men's Team Academic Award.
To be considered for this honor, a program must register a grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale. As a team, the Big Green posted a 3.18 GPA in 2014-15 while en route to a berth in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
“We are thrilled to receive this recognition again from the NSCAA,” head coach Chad Riley said. “We strive for comprehensive excellence in our program, and our student-athletes are committed to maximizing their academic potential.
“I am once again proud of the team and it is a great honor that we have been able to receive for the past few years."
Dartmouth has received this distinction every year dating back to 2006 with its first honor coming in 2002.
The Big Green are back in action on Saturday at home against Hofstra in a non-conference tilt set to get started at 5 p.m.
