PRINCETON, N.J. – After scoring the game-winning goal in a 2-0, victory over Brown on Saturday, sophomore Noah Paravicini was named Co-Ivy League Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday.
It is the second consecutive week that a member of the Big Green has been honored by the Ancient Eight after James Hickok was selected as Co-Ivy League Player of the Week and Henry Baldwin was tabbed as Rookie of the Week on Nov. 7.
On Saturday, Dartmouth clinched its third consecutive Ivy League Championship with the win over the Bears. Paravicini got the scoring started after he received a pass in the middle of the box from Big Green captain, Emmanuel Arteaga and finished on a shot to the lower right corner. The Petaluma, California native's tally was his team-leading fourth goal of the season. Paravicini is also tied for second on the team with points (10) and shots (20).
Paravicini will share his weekly accolade with Arthur Bosua of Columbia who performed well in the Lions' 4-0 victory over Cornell on Sunday.
The Big Green return to action this Thursday at 5 p.m. when Dartmouth hosts Saint Francis Brooklyn in the first round of the NCAA College Cup. The game can be streamed for free on the Ivy League Digital Network.
