PRINCETON, N.J. – The Ivy League announced its final men's soccer weekly awards Monday and senior
Eduvie Ikoba has been named the Ivy League Player of the Week. Ikoba becomes the first Big Green player to receive the award this season after he scored twice in Dartmouth's 4-1 victory over Brown on Saturday.
With Dartmouth trailing 1-0 in the 18th minute, Ikoba collected a pass from
Yima Asom and got into position to boot the ball to the bottom left corner of the net, tying the match. After Dartmouth took a 3-1 advantage, Ikoba scored the final goal of the game in the 85th minute when he sent home a rebound from Asom to complete the 4-1 victory.
Since returning to full time action after an injury riddled season, the Bettendorf, Iowa native has scored five times and picked up an assist in Dartmouth's last three matches. He leads the Big Green in both goals and points and is tied for third in the Ivy League in goals and top 10 in points, having done all his damage against Harvard, Cornell and Brown.
