ATHENS, Ga. – Dartmouth men's tennis opened the 2018-19 season at the Southern Intercollegiate Championship on Friday. The Big Green played five singles matches on the first day of competition.
Junior David Horneffer defeated Florida Atlantic's Medi Laalej in the Round of 64, winning by a score of 6-0, 6-1. Sophomores Peter Conklin, Dan Martin and Casey Ross all took their matches to three sets, but ultimately fell to their opponents.
After advancing to the Round of 32, Horneffer fell to Alex Reco of Arkansas, 6-3, 7-5.
The championship will continue on Saturday.
