HANOVER, N.H. – For the seventh time in eight years, the Dartmouth Relays champion on the men's side went the way of the home team.
The Big Green men took the top spot at Sunday's 50th Dartmouth Relays at Leverone Field House with 146 points, edging out second-place Southern Connecticut (142) by just four points.
After seeing its six-year stretch of dominance snapped last year, Dartmouth once again returned to the top of the team standings at this year's golden anniversary meet.
HIGHLIGHTS:

Donovan Spearman won the 60m in 6.84, after finishing as the top qualifier with a 6.93 in the preliminaries.

Michael Thurston (1:55.86) and Nick Feffer (1:56.48) took the top spots in the 800m, while
Jack Kerin (1:56.85) and
Julien Hinz (1:57.32) were fourth and fifth, respectively, but were rewarded with 10 combined points as the next two scoring runners.

Sander Kushen won the 3000m in 8:31.37, besting the second-place runner by more than four seconds.
•   The Big Green cleaned up in the 60m hurdles, too, with
Parker Johnson (8.38),
Max Frye (8.48) and
Shawn Ohazuruike (8.55) taking the top-three scoring spots.
•   Frye, Charlie Wade,
Ben Ose and
Myles Holt ran a 3:20.47 in the 4x400m relay, earning the event win and 10 points.
•   Ose was also second in the pole vault, clearing 15-7.0/4.75m to add eight more points to the team total.
•   Ahria Simons was second in the long jump, but earned 10 points as the top collegiate performer, finishing behind former Dartmouth student-athlete Corey Muggler. Simons' bets jump was measured at 6.94m.

Lucas Ribeiro claimed fourth in the shot put with a measured toss of 15.85m marking his best of the afternoon.
The Dartmouth Relays began in 1969 and celebrated its 50th anniversary this weekend. Many former Dartmouth runners, throwers and jumpers returned to Hanover to partake in the celebration that included a lap around the Leverone track.
The lone home meet of the season for the Big Green, the team will head out on the road next weekend to compete against Columbia and Yale in the annual tri-meet held this year in New York City.
