HANOVER, N.H. – Dartmouth men's swimming and diving ended the Tate Ramsden Invitational in first place, defeating UMass by a score of 200-136.
 
Connor LaMastra broke the pool and meet records in the 400-yard IM (3:51.49), crushing the pool record by four seconds. 
Joe Moll (4:08.82) and 
Zach Browne (4:09.82) were second and third. LaMastra and Browne were back in the 1650-yard freestyle later on in the meet; LaMastra was first, breaking the meet record by 25 seconds (15:26.76), while Browne was second (16:15.51). 
Ethan Moon also picked up a point by coming in fifth (17:21.55).
 
In the 100-yard breaststroke, six swimmers touched in just over a second. The Minutemen took the top three spots, but 
Brandon Liao (59.75) and 
Parker Hershberger (1:00.15) earned a few points by finishing in fourth and sixth.
 
JP Mortenson came out on top in the 100-yard fly with a time of 50.44, 
Matt Luciano placed second (52.01) and 
Matt Degtyar was third (52.58). In the 200-yard freestyle, 
Carter Jacobsen and Tang-e Tan ended up in a scoring position: Jacobsen was fourth (1:46.5) and Tan came in eighth place (1:47.42).
 
Degtyar and Mortenson touched a tenth of a second apart in the 100-yard backstroke to come in third (52.91) and fourth (53.01), respectively. Dartmouth's A and B 200-yard medley relays placed second and third with times of 1:36.11 and 1:36.17. As they did yesterday, the Big Green's divers took the top three spots on 3-meter: 
Justin Sodokoff broke the meet record (375.30), 
AJ Krok was second (309.75) and 
Ray Neistat came in third place (294.00).
 
Moll and Degtyar combined for 12 points by finishing in first and third in the 200-yard backstroke with times of 1:51.72 and 1:56.58. In the 100-yard freestyle, 
Henry Patrick (46.73) and 
Connor Richmond (47.55) were first and second, while 
Luke Rohlen placed fourth (47.69).
 
Swimming the 200-yard breaststroke, Max Jones finished highest for Dartmouth in second (2:09.24), while LaMastra was fourth (2:10.61) and 
Hugh McKenzie took fifth (2:10.95). Having placed second or third in his other events, Browne finished first in the 200-yard fly (1:53.78). He was followed by Mortenson in second (1:55.02) and Luciano in fourth (1:56.36).
 
To end the weekend, Dartmouth's 400-yard freestyle relays touched one one-hundredth of a second apart, finishing in first and second place with times of 3:09.28 and 3:09.29.
 
The Green will host Columbia next Friday, Feb. 1, in the team's final tune up before the Ivy League Championship (Feb. 27-March 2 at Brown).
