BRONX, N.Y. – The Dartmouth women's cross country team finished eighth at the 2019 Ivy League Heptagonal Championship at Van Cortland Park on Friday morning.

Lauren Sapone led the way for the Big Green with a 15th-place finish in 21:39 on the 6K course, just missing out on earning All-Ivy League honors.

Dartmouth posted 174 points, while Columbia won its third straight title thanks to 57 points.

Junior
Julia Stevenson was 30th, crossing in 22:04. The next three scoring runners for the Green and White were all grouped together as junior
Diana Vizza (22:18), sophomore
Claire Dougherty (22:30) and freshman
Breanna Glover (22:31) claimed 42nd, 46th and 47th, respectively.

The team will now shift its focus to the NCAA Northeast Regional in Buffalo on Saturday, Nov. 15.
