The Crimson's Bente van Vlijmen scored four times in the contest.

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Dartmouth field hockey team dropped its final Ivy League road game of the season Saturday at No. 15 Harvard, 7-1.

Senior and captain Jocelyn Wulf scored the lone goal for the Big Green (3-12, 0-6), her first of the season and the fifth of her career. The Crimson (12-4, 5-1) were powered by four goals from Bente van Vlijmen.

"Despite the score, we had some positive moments," head coach Amy Fowler. "Harvard scored a couple quick goals in both the first and second quarters; we just struggled to contain them at times. We need to take our positives from today, and build on them tomorrow up at UVM. It will be another battle for us, and we're up for the challenge!"

van Vlijmen's first of the day came between scores from Rachel Greenwood and Maddie Earle. Greenwood got things started in the third and 13th minutes, respectively, while van Vlijmen scored in the 12th.

Wulf netted her tally in the 23rd minute to make it a 3-1 game, finishing off the play with Taylor Hantman picking up the helper.

Harvard's Hannah Pearce answered back a minute later with van Vlijmen's second coming two and a half minutes after that. van Vlijmen would score the two lone second-half goals to cap the scoring.

Sophomore Isabella Santucci made the first three quarters in the Dartmouth cage, making five stops in her 45 minutes. Freshman Hatley Post saw her first action of the season as she played the entirety of the fourth quarter.

The Big Green play at Vermont Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. in the final road and non-conference game of the season. The 2019 campaign will conclude in Hanover next Saturday, Nov. 9 at noon against visiting Cornell.
