LAST TIME OUT
Two weeks ago, the Big Green played a series against RIT, going 1-1 at the Gene Polisseni Center.
- On Friday, a three-goal third period lifted RIT over Dartmouth, 4-3.
- Sara McClanahan scored the Green's first two goals to have her second two-point performance of her career. Celine Pietraszek, Currie Putrah, Lotti Odnoga, Gabby Billing, Emily McLaughlin, Jennifer Costa and Bailee Brekke all had one point apiece.
- In net, Hannah Humphreys had 15 saves while being saddled with the loss.
- The following afternoon, Christina Rombaut scored midway through overtime to give Dartmouth a 2-1 victory over RIT. This was Rombaut's first point of the season, while the Big Green's first tally, scored by Jess Forcey, was a career-first for the sophomore.
- Lotti Odnoga assisted on both tallies to have a three-point weekend, while CC Bowlby had a helper of her own.
- Humphreys had 17 saves, winning her second game of the season.
- This was the first time the Green had defeated the Tigers since a 6-0 victory on Feb. 11, 1995.
SCOUTING THE BLACK BEARS
Maine has had a pretty good season so far after facing some tough opponents. The Black Bears have gone 3-3 in November and most recently went 1-1 against No. 4 Northeastern, falling by a score of 2-1 before rebounding to win, 3-2, the next day.
Four players have made it to double-digit points and are led by Tereza Vanisova (7-7-14).
LAST TIME AGAINST MAINE
The Big Green dropped both games to the Black Bears on Nov. 25-25, 2018.
- In game one, Chloe Puddifant netted her second goal of the season in the 4-1 loss to Maine at the Harold Alfond Sports Arena.
- Also ending the game with a point were Tess Bracken and Odnoga.
- Christine Honor had 20 saves before making way for Kayla Wormsbecher, who stopped five in the final 12 minutes of the third period.
- The next day, Dartmouth concluded its weekend on the road with another 4-1 loss. Alyssa Baker was credited with the Big Green's goal while Odnoga and Rombaut assisted.
- Wormsbecher played all 60 minutes, ending the game with 23 saves.
BETWEEN THE PIPES
Humphreys has started and played almost every minute of the team's eight games so far in her rookie season. In 485 minutes, she has made 198 saves and allowed 21 goals for a .904 save percentage and 2.59 goals against average. She had a season-high 33 saves against Quinnipiac (11/8) and has had at least 20 saves in six games.
LEADING THE WAY
There is currently a three-way tie for team-lead with five points between Bowlby (3-2-5), Billing (1-4-5) and Odnoga (0-5-5). Three players all have score one power play goal: Bowlby, McClanahan and Forcey.
