THIS WEEKEND
Dartmouth women's hockey will be on one last road trip before the ball drops, heading out to face Ivy League and ECAC Hockey rivals Brown and Yale for the second time this season.
LAST TIME OUT
The Big Green had a 1-1 home weekend against Maine, dropping the first game by a score of 6-1 before rebounding to take the second, 5-2.
- On Friday, Gabby Billing scored an unassisted tally to get Dartmouth on the board in the second period. A strong first period for the Black Bears already had them up, 3-0, and by the end of the second, they had a 4-1 advantage.
- On Saturday, Dartmouth scored three power-play goals and one shorthanded tally to defeat Maine.
- Six players had one point, a pair of players had two and CC Bowlby led the lot with her first three-point performance (1-2-3). Catherine Trevors and Christina Rombaut both had a goal and an assist for two points.
- For the second game in a row, Hannah Humphreys had 22 saves.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Bowlby was named the ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Week for her first three-point game of her career. She picked up the assists on two power-play goals and scored the game winner and the team's first shorthanded marker of the season.
SCOUTING THE BEARS
Brown has struggled a bit so far in 2019-20 and enters the weekend with an overall record of 1-10-0 and a conference mark of 1-5-0. The Bears' lone victory came on Nov. 8 against RPI (2-1). Since then, Brown has suffered some pretty tough losses, including a 9-1 loss to Cornell and a 10-0 defeat at the hands of Providence.
Shay Maloney leads the team in goals (4) and points (6), while Megan Forrest is first with three assists.
LAST TIME AGAINST BROWN
On Nov. 2,
Celine Pietraszek scored her first collegiate goal 54 seconds into overtime to lift Dartmouth to a 3-2 win over Brown.
The Big Green picked up their first win of the season and two important points.
After Brown tied it up at 1:48 of the third, neither team would score another in a 21-shot period, so the game headed to overtime. Following a few wide shots by Dartmouth, Pietraszek ended the game, scoring the first goal of her career.
SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
Yale had a pretty good month, going 4-5. Most recently, the Bulldogs went 1-1 at the Nutmeg Classic, downing UConn by a score of 6-2 before falling to Quinnipiac, 3-1.
Three players sit atop the Yale leaderboard: Elle Hartje (5-7-12), Emma Seitz (3-9-12) and Claire Dalton (3-9-12).
LAST TIME AGAINST YALE
On Nov. 1, Humphreys had 28 saves in the narrow 1-0 loss to Yale at Home.
Dartmouth and Yale played aggressively from start to finish, committing a combined 13 penalties.
BETWEEN THE PIPES
Humphreys has appeared in and started all 10 games during her first season in Hanover. In 605 minutes, she has made 242 saves and allowed 29 goals for 2.87 goals against average and .893 save percentage.
LEADING THE WAY
After her three points against Maine, Bowlby is now first on the team in both goals (4) and points (8). She is closely followed by Billing, who is second in points (7) and first in assists (5).
