Both James Turner and Charles Petrie won 5 and 4
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — The Dartmouth men's golf team defeated Brown in a match-play event held at PGA National on the Estates Golf course on Friday, 5-1.
Sophomore James Turner and freshman Charles Petrie had the most commanding victories on the day, defeating their opponents, 5 and 4. The other three Big Green winners — sophomores Jason Liu and Sam Ohno, along with freshman Mark Turner — all finished at 3 and 2. Senior John Lazor took the lone loss for Dartmouth at 4 and 3.
The Big Green will play 18 holes against both Brown and Cornell in stroke play on Saturday on the same course.
