The 2019 schedule features five NCAA Tournament teams from last season
HANOVER, N.H. – With the fall season fast approaching, Bo Oshoniyi, the Bobby Clark Head Coach of Men's Soccer has announced the 2019 schedule. This year's schedule features 16 games and pits the Big Green against five NCAA Tournament teams from last season.
Dartmouth kicks off 2019 on Sept. 6 at Wake Forest, who finished the 2018 regular season as the No. 1 team in the country after going 17-1. The Demon Deacons advanced to the third round of the NCAA Tournament, where they were upset by Akron, who advanced to the title game.
The schedule continues with consecutive games at Burnham Field. The Big Green first host UMass in the home opener on Sept. 10 and continue with a matchup against Michigan State (Sept. 14), who made it to the College Cup last season.
Another tournament team is next for the Big Green when they travel to Durham to face New Hampshire (Sept. 18). Dartmouth then plays host to Niagara (Sept. 21) and travels to Albany (Sept. 24).
Dartmouth starts three straight games in Hanover with back-to-back contests against tournament opponents beginning with UConn (Oct. 1) and Ivy League play begins against defending conference champion Princeton (Oct. 5). The home-stand concludes with a twin-state meeting against Vermont (Oct. 8).
The Big Green then head to Yale (Oct. 12) and Penn (Oct. 19) before playing their final non-conference game of the season at home against Hartford (Oct. 22). The final four Saturday's of the regular season are home against Columbia (Oct. 26), at Harvard (Nov. 2), in Hanover against Cornell (Nov. 9) and on the road at Brown (Nov. 16).
