HANOVER, N.H. – Dartmouth women's rugby head coach
Katie Dowty has announced the schedule for the upcoming 2019 season.
Last year's national champion will kick off the fall with a scrimmage, heading north to face Concordia in Montreal (Aug. 23) before returning to Brophy Field to host Notre Dame College (Aug. 31). After a bye week to start September, the Big Green will spend the next two weeks on the road at Brown (Sept. 14) and Harvard (Sept. 21).
Home games against Army West Point (Oct. 5) and Quinnipiac (Oct. 12) will close the regular season. From there, all that remains on the schedule are the Ivy Rugby Championship (Oct. 26) and the NIRA National Championship at the beginning of November.
The Green went 9-1 in 2018, sweeping through the regular season before falling to Harvard in the Ivy Rugby Championship match. Dartmouth regrouped to defeat Brown and Army in the NIRA quarter and semifinal to make it to the final for the second year in a row, downing the Crimson to win its first-ever national championship title.
