BOSTON – The Dartmouth men's cross country team posted a seventh-place finish at Friday's Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown hosted by Boston College at Franklin Park.

Quinn Cooney's seventh-place individual finish was the driving force behind the Big Green ascension up the standings as the senior crossed the finish line of the 8K course in 24:33 to help his team to 177 points.

Owen Ritz was the second Dartmouth harrier to finish, doing so in 25:02 with Ben Matejka crossing almost immediately after in 25:05.
Liam Jamieson (42nd, 25:14) and Sam Morton (60th, 25:27) were the final Big Green runners in the scoring.

Jake Winslow (75th, 25:41) and
Brian Mass (88th, 25:56) were sixth and seventh, respectively, for the team.

Syracuse won the race thanks to 64 points. Army West Point was second with 91 points with Stony Brook taking third with 129. Harvard (151), Washington (156) and Navy (160) were the only other teams to post better scores than the Green in a field of more than 20 programs from across the nation.

The team will run again on Saturday, Oct. 5 at the Paul Short Invitational at Lehigh.
