PRINCETON, N.J. – The Dartmouth men's tennis team opened play at the 51st Farnsworth-Ivy Plus Tournament, playing at Princeton's Lenz Tennis Center and Yale's Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center

At Princeton, juniors
Peter Conklin and
Dan Martin won both their quarter- and semifinal doubles matches. The Big Green duo first downed Indiana's Payem Ahmadi and Andrew Redding, 8-7(4) before going on to defeat Nevin Arimilli and Evin McDonald of Texas by a score of 8-5.

In singles, Dartmouth won three of its four matches. Senior
Charlie Broom had a 6-2, 6-3 victory over William Grattan Smith of Miami, while Martin and Conklin had three-set wins over their opponents from Tennessee and Penn State, respectively.

The Green will be back for day two of the tournament on Saturday.
