Dartmouthsports.com will be recognizing the senior student-athletes who had their spring seasons canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Today's Senior … Michael Calamari of the baseball team.
DartmouthSports.com: What is your most memorable on-field team moment?
Michael Calamari: Friday night my freshman year against University of Miami when we
won game 1, then went on to win series.
DS: And your most memorable on-field individual moment?
MC: The HR I hit against Princeton my sophomore year.
[ed. note: it was a two-run homer that scored the first runs in a 16-1 blowout win]
DS: Baseball players are known for nicknames. What is yours on the team and how did you get it?
MC: Squid … this one is pretty obvious.
DS: Any hidden talents you can share?
MC: I am a half decent singer.
DS: If you could swap places with one teammate, who would it be and why?
MC: I would switch places with
Eric Stolt because I want to know what it's like to be a genius, lightning fast and very well-rounded.
DS: What is your favorite place on campus?
MC: The Green.
DS: What are your plans after Dartmouth (or the spring term in general)?
MC: Hopefully find a graduate-transfer year at another school.
