Today's Senior … Ubaldo Lopez, first baseman/outfielder on the baseball team.
DartmouthSports.com:Â What is your most memorable on-field team moment?
Ubaldo Lopez: Winning the last game of my sophomore year. Unfortunately, we didn't qualify for the Ivy Championship Series but it was nice to send the seniors off with a win to end their careers while also getting Coach Whalen's 600th career win to finish it off at home.
DS.com: And your most memorable on-field individual moment?
UL:Â Also sophomore year, the game I hit my first two career home runs and we got the W. I hadn't played much up until that point because I was constantly struggling, so it was nice to get the monkey off my back.
DS.com: Baseball players are known for nicknames. What is yours on the team and how did you get it?
UL: I have a pretty hard name to say so everyone just calls me U.B. Its not often you get to pick your nickname but hey it works.
DS.com: If you could swap places with one teammate, who would it be and why?
UL: Probably Kolton Freeman because he's still got a couple years left playing ball, he's a surfer dude and always brings juice to life.
DS.com: What is your favorite place on campus?
UL: Locker room easily.
DS.com:Â What are your plans after Dartmouth?
UL: I'm hoping to go to grad school and play one more year of college ball at least.
