THIS WEEKEND
With three tournaments already done, the Dartmouth volleyball team is ready to kick off Ivy League play, hosting Harvard on Friday evening.
Â
LAST TIME OUT
The Big Green had a 2-1 weekend at the Hartford Invitational, suffering their first loss of the season to Sacred Heart (3-1) before rebounding to defeat the host and Central Connecticut State by the same score.
·    Â
Emma Moffet and
Ellie Blain were named all-tournament at the conclusion of the weekend.
·     Blain was also named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week, garnering the award for Dartmouth for the second week in a row. She recorded a team-leading 52 kills (4.00/set), .201 hitting percentage, 36 digs (second on the team), seven total blocks (second), one ace and 57.5 points (4.42/set), both of which were first on the team.
·     Moffet ended up with a total of 29 kills (2.23/set), one assist, two digs, a team-leading 15 block (1.15/set) and 39 points (3.0/set), the latter putting her second on the team. She also had a career-best .500 hitting percentage.
Â
SCOUTING THE CRIMSON
Harvard has faced some tough opponents already in 2021, so its record isn't really indicative of that. Last weekend, they faced the No. 13 team in the country, Oregon, taking it to five sets before falling. The Crimson went on to beat host Howard (3-1) and American (3-2).
