HANOVER, N.H. — The Dartmouth women's rugby team showcased its depth with 12 different players earning at least one try in the Big Green's 95-10 victory over Princeton Saturday afternoon at Brophy Field.
Dartmouth remained unbeaten, improving to 6-0 with NIRA postseason action just weeks away. First-year varsity program Princeton moved to 0-7 on the season.
95 points marked Dartmouth's highest output since a 98-7 win over Brown on Sept. 15, 2018. After making her return to the field last week against Harvard,
Ariana Ramsey led the charge early with three of Dartmouth's first five tries less than 20 minutes into the contest, including a 70-meter dash.
Aleemah Williams, who twice found pay dirt, was one of six Big Green players to earn a first career try.
Vanessa Ortiz-Pallen,
Reign Jefferson,
Hannah Humphreys,
Allie Amerson and
Kyla Widodo each enjoyed the milestone as well.
Kristin Bitter, who was good for the game-winner last time out, recorded five conversions.
Anjali Pant,
Abby Kayser and
Taylor Sadek were each successful in kicking duties later in the match.
An explosive first half allowed the defending champions to lead 69-0 at the intermission. Princeton ended hopes of a second shutout in three weeks when Priya Nephade put the Tigers on the board at the 55:10 mark.
Dartmouth is back at Brophy Field Saturday, Oct. 29 at 11 a.m. to face Brown in the regular season finale. The match will be streamed on ESPN+.
