HANOVER, N.H. — The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced its Academic All-District teams for men's soccer. Fifth year
Garrett Scott, seniors
George Altirs,
Eric Sachleben and
Alex van Schalkwyk and sophomores
Kristian Feed and
Louis Weisdorf were recognized on the team from District I.
To be considered, a student-athlete must have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's games and have at least a 3.5 cumulative grade-point average (on a 4.0 scale), have completed at least one full calendar year and reached sophomore athletic eligibility. They will now go on the ballot for CSC Academic All-America consideration with the first-, second- and third-team honorees being announced next month.
Scott adds CSC Academic All-District honors to his resume after a strong season on the field and in the classroom. The fifth-year defender earned Academic All-Ivy honors, competing in 13 matches with 11 starts. He scored Dartmouth's first goal of the season, a game winner against Niagara on September 2.
van Schalkwyk earned Ivy League Player of the Week honors on October 17 and was one of Dartmouth's biggest offensive contributors during the 2022 season. The Cape Town, South Africa native recorded three goals throughout his senior season, the second most for the Big Green. van Schalkwyk scored goals in consecutive games against Hartford (Oct. 11) and Yale (Oct. 15).
Altirs collects Academic All-District honors following his senior campaign with the Big Green. He finished the season with three points, including a goal against Stonehill on September 24 and an assist in Dartmouth's 3-0 win over Yale.
Sachleben, an All-Ivy honorable mention, competed in 15 matches, making eight starts for the Big Green. He scored the game-winning goal for Dartmouth in its 1-0 win over Columbia at Burnham Field on October 22. Sachleben contributed three points in Ivy League competition.
Weisdorf earns Academic All-District honors for the first time in his career following a strong 2022 season. He was Dartmouth's go-to player for free kicks and corner kicks throughout the season, earning All-Ivy honorable mention status following his sophomore campaign. He finished the year with a goal and two assists.
Feed made 13 appearances for the Big Green during his sophomore season, which included nine starts. He scored a goal against UMass on September 13 and added an assist against Stonehill on September 24.
