ITHACA, N.Y. – Dartmouth men's tennis fell to Columbia, 4-0, in the first match of the 2022 ECAC Indoor Championship on Friday. The Big Green are now 3-2, while the Lions improved to 5-2.

Wins at the No. 1 and 2 doubles positions gave the first point of the afternoon to the Lions. On court three,
Andy Ilie and
Daniel Webb were up, 5-4, when the match went unfinished.

Columbia followed that up with victories at the No. 3, 1 and 5 singles to end the match. After narrowly dropping his first set at the No. 4 spot,
Alex Knox-Jones was leading his opponent, 5-1, in the second set when it was ended early. Webb had also been leading, 3-1, in his second set on court six.

The Big Green will be back on Saturday with a 3 p.m. match against the loser of the No. 3 Cornell vs. No. 6 Yale match.
