ITHACA, N.Y. – Dartmouth men's tennis finished in seventh place following a 4-2 defeat of Brown on the final day of the ECAC Indoor Championship.

The teams played singles matches first and didn't need the extra point from doubles to determine a winner. The Big Green are now 4-3 while the Bears dropped to 7-7.

Carlos Guerrero Alvarez on courts six, five and one suddenly put Dartmouth up, 3-0, in the first three singles matches.

Brown came back to win at the No. 4 and 3 courts to get within one, leaving just
Anders Gibbons and Niraj Komatineni still playing at the No. 2 spot. Gibbons won the first set, 7-5, while Komatineni took the second by a score of 6-4. The Dartmouth junior easily won the third set, 6-2, to clinch the win.

The Big Green will be at home for three matches in a row, starting with St. John's on Saturday.
