Dartmouth (2-1) at Siena (1-4)
Despite the Saints drawing first blood, the Big Green answered with three in a row to pull ahead. Rogan tied things up less than three minutes after the opening goal, while
Henry Bonnie and
Peter Lapina added a bit of insurance, the latter coming with 27 seconds remaining in the first quarter (3-1).
Â
It didn't stop there. A pair of tallies by Rogan in just over a minute completed the hat trick, while Prince and
Matt Paul got in on the fun soon after, turning a two-goal lead into six. After 24 minutes of scoreless play going back to early in the opening quarter, the Saints got one back before the intermission (7-2).
Â
The beginning of the second half was quiet until the home team scored its second in a row, a man-up tally almost seven minutes in. Dartmouth responded with goals by Prince and
Colin McGill within 75 seconds to further increase its lead. One more for the Saints in the final 4:57 ended the quarter (9-4).
Â
Prince collected his hat trick under five minutes into the final quarter, while Siena scored its response 32 seconds later. There was a mini scoring frenzy after that: Christian Watts kicked things off with 7:48 to go, Prince scored again six seconds later and Nick Casner netted his second of the game 21 seconds after that. Siena scored twice in the final minute but ran out of time to truly make a comeback (11-9).
Â
The Green will be home for two games in a row, starting with Vermont on Tuesday, March 8.
