HANOVER, N.H. — The Dartmouth baseball game schedule at the University at Albany on Wednesday afternoon has been pushed back half an hour and will begin at 3:30 p.m.
The Big Green (12-13) are coming off a series victory at Yale with victories by scores of 14-4 and 11-4. Sophomore
Tyler Cox leads the Ancient Eight with a .410 batting average and 41 hits, while Dartmouth as a team averages 6.4 runs and has the fewest strikeouts in the league. The pitching staff has performed well since shaking off the rust in the first few weeks, posting a 4.35 ERA over the last 14 games, striking out 132 batters over 120.0 innings (9.9 per nine innings) while holding opponents to a .240 batting average. The bullpen has been particularly stellar over those 14 games with opponents hitting just .178 over 50.1 innings.
This will be the first meeting on the diamond ever between Dartmouth and Albany. The Big Green are 25-21 all-time against current America East teams, including a loss last week at UMass Lowell.
