Adrienne Shibles has announced Dartmouth's 2022-23 schedule. The Big Green are set to play a 28-game slate that kicks off Monday, Nov. 7 when Dartmouth hosts Bryant.
Among the highlights of the challenging nonconference portion is a road date with defending Big Ten champion Iowa on Wednesday, Dec. 21 shortly after Dartmouth makes the cross-country trip to California to take part in the Long Beach Classic, which will feature matchups against Long Beach State and UC Irvine. The Ivy League schedule begins Sunday, Jan. 1 at Cornell, who Dartmouth defeated on the road in overtime a season ago. The regular season concludes Saturday, March 4 at Harvard.
Following the opener against Bryant, Dartmouth heads to Rhode Island Nov. 11 before a four-game home stretch that includes tilts with New Hampshire, Merrimack, Holy Cross and Vermont. After a trip to Siena, the Big Green battle reigning America East champion Albany Tuesday, Dec. 6 at Leede Arena. A road test at Monmouth (Saturday, Dec. 10) and a home game against Drexel (Tuesday, Dec. 13) precede the Long Beach Classic, which takes place Dec. 16-17. A trip to UMass on Wednesday, Dec. 28 following Dartmouth's battle with the Hawkeyes concludes the nonconference slate.
The Ivy opener at Cornell marks the beginning of an action-packed January in the Ancient Eight. Dartmouth welcomes Yale (Friday, Jan. 6) and Brown (Saturday, Jan. 7) on back-to-back nights as the fans in Hanover get their first look at conference action. The Big Green are back on the road, traveling to Penn Saturday, Jan. 14, before hosting Harvard (Monday, Jan. 16) and Princeton (Saturday, Jan. 21), which looks to defend its Ivy crown. Then Shibles' squad is on the road for four straight, beginning Saturday Jan. 28 at Columbia. They take on Yale and Brown back-to-back Friday, Feb. 3 and Saturday, Feb. 4 before capping the stretch at Princeton Saturday, Feb. 11. Dartmouth returns home Friday, Feb. 17 to face Cornell and Columbia a day later, and plays for a final time at Leede Arena Saturday, Feb. 25 against Penn. The early-March trip to Harvard marks the end of the regular season.
The Ivy League Tournament, hosted by Princeton, begins Friday, March 10.
