ACTION-PACKED IVY LEAGUE WEEKEND
Dartmouth returns to Leede Arena for the first time since Dec. 13, 2022 to host Yale and Brown in back-to-back Ivy League games after dropping the conference opener Sunday afternoon at Cornell.
CONFERENCE OPENER AT CORNELL
Dartmouth got off to a slow start, but challenged Cornell in the fourth quarter in the Ivy League opener on New Year's Day in Ithaca, New York. The Big Green faced a 15-point deficit late in the third quarter and made a much-needed run, highlighted by
Mekkena Boyd's clutch 3-pointer in the early minutes of the fourth, to cut the lead to seven. Cornell answered with a triple on the other end to set the tone for a strong finish in a 61-48 Big Red victory.
Grace Niekelski posted team highs in scoring and rebounding with 14 points and eight boards. The Big Green held the Big Red to just 33.9 percent from the field, which marked the second-best defensive effort of the season.
HARLAND'S HOT SHOOTING
Senior
Allie Harland has hit at least one 3-pointer in each of the last eight games and is the first Dartmouth player to do so since
Katie Douglas, who ended the 2019-20 season with an eight-game streak. Harland is currently shooting a career-best 40.5 percent from downtown.
SCOUTING YALE
The Bulldogs are 6-8 on the season and 0-1 in Ivy League play after a 97-53 home loss to Columbia. Three-time Ivy League Rookie of the Week Kiley Capstraw is perhaps the conference's best freshman and averages a team-high 11.8 points per game. Junior guard Jenna Clark leads the Ivy League and ranks 32nd in the nation with 5.1 assists per game, while Nyla McGill is one of the Ancient Eight's premier rebounders, ranking second in the league with 8.6 per game and 11th in the country (second in the conference) with 4.2 offensive boards per game.
SCOUTING BROWN
Brown enters its Friday matchup with Harvard at 7-6 on the season and 0-1 in conference play having lost to Penn on the road, 74-53. The Bears feature a tough defense that ranks 17th in the country in steals per game (11.5). 5-9 guard Kyla Jones is Brown's go-to offensive threat, averaging just over 17 points per game. The Big Green and the Bears both defeated Monmouth and lost to Holy Cross in their respective non-conference slates.
ALL-TIME AGAINST YALE AND BROWN
Dartmouth is 53-34 all-time against Yale and 59-30 against Brown. The Big Green haven't defeated Yale since Feb. 22, 2019 (56-54) and have since lost four straight to the Bulldogs, but have won 10 of the last 13 over Brown, including a 58-54 triumph at Leede Arena last season on Feb. 5, 2022.
LAST YEAR'S WIN OVER BROWN
Dartmouth picked up a 58-54 win against Brown, its only home win of last season and the Big Green's first Ivy League victory of the 2021-22 campaign. The game was tied, 47-47, midway through the fourth quarter before Dartmouth used a 7-1 run to take control and later sealed the win at the free throw line in the final minute.
PRIDE GAME
Both teams will don rainbow apparel, including shoelaces and t-shirts, during Friday's game in celebration of the LGBTQ+ community.

Dartmouth visits Penn on Saturday, Jan. 14 for a 2 p.m. tip-off at The Palestra. Three Dartmouth players (
