Tymorek won the race by 20 seconds, leading the Big Green to a second-place team finish

BOSTON, Mass. — Ellie Tymorek of the Dartmouth women's cross country team won the New England Championship on Saturday afternoon at Franklin Park.

Tymorek won the event after finishing with a time of 18:04.8, besting second-place Isa Meyers of Northeastern by 20 seconds.

Esme Huh claimed a spot in the top 10, taking ninth with a time of 18:44.5. Mia Compton-Engle, Annie Jackson and Evie Cohen finished 12^th, 13^th and 14^th to round out the scoring for the Big Green. Compton-Engle crossed the finish line at 18:55.5, followed by Jackson (18:58.2) and Cohen (19:01.2).

Northeastern took the top team spot with 34 points. Dartmouth finished second after posting 49 points. Rounding the top five was Rhode Island (119), New Hampshire (132) and Providence 185).

Dartmouth travels down to Virginia next weekend for the XC23 Invite, hosted by the University of Virginia. Live results will be available through PrimeTime Timing and there will be a live stream through ACC Network Extra.
