LAST TIME OUT
Dartmouth led early and hung tight throughout the first half, but was outlasted by Bryant in the season opener on Monday night, a similar fate the 2022-23 squad saw against the Bulldogs in its season debut at Leede Arena. Despite the loss, the Big Green were able to out-rebound Bryant, who led the America East in rebounds per game a season ago.
ALL-TIME AGAINST SIENA
Dartmouth is 5-8 against Siena in the all-time series, which dates back to 1993. The two sides met annually from 1992-93 until 2005-06, but the series discontinued until last season when the Big Green visited Loudonville, New York. Dartmouth won the last of the yearly meetings on Jan. 2, 2006, but last year's meeting belonged to the Saints.
ALL-TIME AGAINST KEENE STATE
Tuesday is only the second meeting between intrastate counterparts Dartmouth and Keene State. The last time the Big Green faced the Division III Owls, Gail Koziara Boudreaux helped power a 76-33 victory on Nov. 30, 1978. This time, a banner representing her jersey - the first to be honored in the history of Dartmouth Athletics - will hang over Leede Arena.
COMEBACK FELL SHORT
Dartmouth trailed by 14 at halftime against Siena last year, but rallied to cut the lead to two in the fourth, but succumbed to the turnover bug in the waning minutes and ended up suffering a 75-67 road loss. Dartmouth had one of its most balanced scoring efforts of the season with
Victoria Page (15),
Mia Curtis (15) and
Mekkena Boyd (13) all recording double figures. Elisa Mevius and Valencia Fontonelle-Posson had 17 and 16 respectively and the Big Green will be tasked with stopping both on Sunday.
SIENA'S SEASON OPENER
The Saints saw a late start to their season, not playing until Thursday night, but showed no signs of rust in a 73-64 win over Binghamton. Elisa Mevius scored a game-high 21 points and was 3-of-4 from deep. Anajah Brown recorded a double-double with 17 points and and 13 boards.
NEXT UP
Following Tuesday's game against Keene State, Dartmouth takes nearly two weeks off before returning to action at New Hampshire, a second consecutive Granite State foe, on Sunday, Nov. 26 at 1 p.m.
