ST. ALBANS, Vt. — Three Big Green finished in the top four as the Dartmouth men's cross country team opened the 2023 season with the UVM Invite on Saturday afternoon at the Hard'Ack Recreation Area in St. Albans, Vermont. It was head coach Sean McNulty's first race in charge of the Big Green.
Will Daley,
James Lawrence and
Albert Velikonja each finished with a time of 25:54.30 to claim second, third and fourth in the meet.
Richie Moreno grabbed 12
th after crossing the finish line at 27:05.20. Rounding out the scoring for the Big Green was
Alexander Craig, who finished 23
rd overall with a time of 28:19.80.
Vermont took the team win after finishing with 27 points. Dartmouth was second with 39 points followed by UMass Lowell in third with 68 points.
Dartmouth returns to Pine Park for the Maribel Sanchez Souther Invitational next Saturday, September 9. The race is currently set to begin at 11:15 a.m. and information for the meet can be found on the team's schedule page on DartmouthSports.com, the official website of Dartmouth Athletics.
