BOSTON, Mass. — The Dartmouth men's cross country team competed for the first time in nearly three weeks on Friday afternoon, running in the Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown at Franklin Park in Boston.
The Big Green posted a fourth-place finish with 117 points. Harvard claimed the team win after finishing with 47 points.
Will Daley and
Albert Velikonja both finished in the top 10 of the race. Daley took eighth with a time of 24:14.5 while Velikonja finished ninth with a time of 24:18.9.
James Lawrence nabbed 21
st in the event with a time of 24:32.5. Next up was
Declan O'Scannlain, who crossed the finish line at 24:51.3 to take 32
nd. Rounding out the scoring for Dartmouth was
Richie Moreno, who finished 52
nd with a time of 25:15.0.
Graham Blanks of Harvard won the meet with a time of 23:26.0.
Dartmouth returns to Franklin Park again next Saturday, Oct. 7, for the New England Championship.
