This past week, the United Soccer Coaches Association announced their All-Region Teams, recognizing sophomores
Vasilis Moiras and
Trenton Blake on the All-Northeast Region Team.
Moiras, named to the All-Region first team, and Blake, named to the All-Region second team, were the Big Green's top two scorers this season. Blake led the team with 17 points, six goals and five assists, while Moiras was right behind, also netting six goals and tallying two assists for 14 total points.
Moiras opened the season on a two game point streak, tallying the lone goal in the season opener at Boston College and adding a goal and an assist in the home opening win against FDU. He also added a goal and an assist in the win over reigning Ivy League Champion Yale and two highlight reel goals at Penn.
Blake, who more than doubled his point total from last season, scored goals in three straight games at the start of the season, tallying a goal and an assist in the win over FDU, and goals in the draw against St. Mary's and loss to UConn. He also had points in straight games two more times throughout the course of the season, a goal and two assists in against Merrimack and Brown and a goal and an assist against Yale and Penn.
