HANOVER, N.H. — Senior
Victoria Page of the Dartmouth women's basketball team was named Ivy League Player of the Week on Monday following a strong week highlighted by a career-high 26 points in Wednesday's win at Navy. Page finished the week with 48 points, also scoring 15 points at Bucknell on Friday.
Page becomes the Big Green's first Ivy League weekly award winner since
Nina Minicozzi last Dec. 26. She is Dartmouth's first Ivy League Player of the Week since Kate Letkewicz was named Ivy League Co-Player of the Week on Feb. 19, 2018.
At Navy, Page scored all 10 of the Big Green's first-quarter points and had 17 by halftime. Page's 26 points were the most by a Dartmouth player since Cy Lippold also had 26 on Jan. 26, 2019 against Harvard. Combined with her 25 points against New Hampshire the previous Sunday, she became the first Dartmouth player with 25+ points in consecutive games since Kate Letkewicz during the 2017-18 season.
Page finished the Navy game 9-of-18 from the floor, including 3-of-6 from 3-point range while adding four rebounds and two assists. She went on to score 15 points at Bucknell Friday, 10 of which came in the second half as the Big Green fell just short against the Bison. She finished 3-of-4 from behind the arc, her third straight game with three made 3-pointers. Page added seven points against UMass Sunday.
Page played in all 45 minutes at Navy and 40 vs. UMass. For the week, she played in 123-of-125 minutes.
The Big Green return to action on Tuesday night at Stonehill. Opening tipoff is set for 7 p.m. on NEC Front Row.
