LAST TIME OUT
Without the services of
Doreen Ariik, the team's leading rebounder and one of the premier defensive presences in the Ivy League, the Big Green fell to both Cornell and Columbia on the road last weekend in their first back-to-back stretch of conference play.
THREE IN DOUBLE FIGURES AT CORNELL
Mia Curtis,
Clare Meyer and
Mekkena Boyd each scored in double figures against Cornell, marking the second time this season the Big Green have had three or more score double digits.
SCOUTING HARVARD
Coming off a run to the 2023 Ivy League Tournament final, the Crimson are off to a 5-2 start in the Ivy League with losses only to the top two teams (Princeton and Columbia). 2022-23 First Team All-Ivy honoree Harmoni Turner ranks second in the conference and among the top 30 nationally in points per game with 19.7. Harvard has won four of its last five leading into Saturday, with each of those victories coming by double digits.
RANKING ROUNDUP
The Big Green lead the nation in fewest fouls committed per game (10.5) and rank among the top 10 nationally in scoring defense, allowing 54.1 points per game.
Doreen Ariik leads the Ivy League in blocks per game with 1.75 and ranks second in rebounding with 9.3 rebounds per game.
LAST MEETING WITH HARVARD
Dartmouth's 2022-23 season came to an end in Cambridge with the Crimson claiming a 64-40 victory.
Victoria Page and
Mekkena Boyd scored eight apiece. McKenzie Forbes, now a starter at USC, scored 22 to power the Crimson. Boyd was one shy of a season high in last year's home game against Harvard with 14 points.
ALUMNI WEEKEND
This weekend, the Big Green welcome back a host of former players from over the years and several who have contributed to one or more of the 17 Ivy League Championships. During last season's alumni weekend, Dartmouth honored Gail Koziara Boudreaux's legendary No. 20 jersey, becoming the first honored jersey in the history of varsity athletics at Dartmouth College.
HOMESTAND CONTINUES
After Saturday's game, the Big Green are home for three more, including back-to-backs against Columbia and Cornell next weekend. Saturday, Feb. 24 marks Dartmouth's final home game as the Big Green host Yale for senior day.
