HANOVER, N.H. — Linda Cimino, Dartmouth's Gail Koziara Boudreaux '82 and Family Head Coach of Women's Basketball, announced the Big Green's 2024-25 schedule on Friday, which includes five straight home games to begin the season, a home matchup with UMass, a road showdown at Syracuse, traditional local rivalry games against New Hampshire and Vermont and three games against Patriot League foes.
"We are excited about our nonconference schedule to prepare us for tough league competition," said Cimino. "One of the highlights will be the opportunity for us to play at the Carrier Dome when we head to Syracuse as well as a return trip to the U.S. Naval Academy. We look forward to hosting local rivalries UMass and Vermont as well as the Granite State Challenge when we face off against UNH."
The season begins at home against Keene State on Friday, Nov. 8 before the Big Green welcome UAlbany (Wednesday, Nov. 13), UMass Lowell (Saturday, Nov. 16), Vermont (Monday, Nov. 18) and in-state rival New Hampshire (Sunday, Dec. 1). The Big Green will be looking for their second straight wins against UMass Lowell and New Hampshire after big road victories last season.
Dartmouth hits the road for the first time at Navy on Wednesday, Dec. 4 before facing another Patriot League foe two days later, Bucknell, in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania.
On Sunday, Dec. 8, the Big Green will face the UMass Minutewomen for the first time at home since December of 2013. The all-time series is tied at 10-10.
Four straight road games follow — at Stonehill (Tuesday, Dec. 10), Central Connecticut State (Monday, Dec. 16), Lafayette (Wednesday, Dec. 18) and Syracuse (Saturday, Dec. 21). It will mark the first meeting between Dartmouth and Syracuse since November of 2013; the Orange lead the all-time series 5-0 and are coming off a 24-8 season in 2023-24, along with an NCAA Tournament win over Arizona.
Nonleague play closes out with a New Year's Day matchup against Colby-Sawyer, with the Ivy League schedule opening with three straight road games on consecutive Saturdays. The Big Green face Brown (Jan. 4), Penn (Jan. 11) and Princeton (Jan. 18).
Dartmouth returns home for the next four, beginning on Monday, Jan. 20 against Yale and ending on Saturday, Feb. 1 vs. Columbia.
Following four consecutive road contests, the regular season concludes with home games on three straight weekends. The Big Green welcome Penn on Friday, Feb. 28 before hosting Princeton on Saturday, Mar. 1 and Harvard one week later.
