LAKE PLACID, N.Y. – Nordic skiers wrapped competition at the St. Lawrence Carnival Saturday, competing in the 7.5K Classic interval start.
With the Big Green leading the carnival with 694.5 points, the Nordic team posted 237 points, thanks to three podium finishes to win the St. Lawrence Carnival.
The women were led by
Jasmine Drolet and
Ava Thurston. Drolet won the race by just over 30 seconds, posting a 21:51.5. Right behind and earning her second podium of the Carnival was Thurston, finishing in third with a 22:24.3.
Nina Seemann and
Maeve Ingelfinger finished just off the podium for the Big Green, Seemann finished fourth overall (22:41.0) while Ingelfinger placed sixth (22:48.2).
Evie Walton (23:01.5) and
Tatum Witter (23:06.5) rounded out the top ten, earning ninth and tenth respectively.
Emma Reeder (23:21.0),
Amelia Tucker (23:49.2),
Anja Grover (25:25.8),
Grace Zanni (25:39.5) and
Virginia Cobb (26.49.5) were the other Big Green finishers.
On the men's side,
Luke Allan once again led the way, finishing first with a 19:39.2.
Aidan Jacobus was the next Dartmouth finisher, placing 13
th (20:49.1), just ahead of
Asa Chalmers in 15
th (20.54.4).
Dustin Hay rounded out Dartmouth finishers in the top 20, placing 18
th with a 21:06.3.
Aaron Power (21:15.1) and
Aiden Casey (21:53.0) were the other two finishers for the Big Green.
Dartmouth will be off this upcoming weekend, next returning to action for the St. Michael's Carnival on January 31 and February 1.
