DANSBURY, Conn.—ECAC Hockey announced its winners of its November monthly awards on Thursday. Dartmouth defensemen CJ Foley has been named Defender of the Month while Emmett Croteau has been named MAC Goaltending Goalie of the Month.
Foley opened his junior season with seven points in eight games with two goals and five assists. He finished the month tied for second in points among ECAC defensemen while leading ECAC defenders in plus/minus at +10. He is tied for second in the ECAC among all players at +10. The Hanover, Mass native has tallied points in six game games this season while having a two-point game against Colgate. He was named ECAC Defender of the Week twice in the month of November. Through 73 career games, he has 18 goals and 39 assists along with a +31 rating.
Croteau has started in net for four games this season and leads the country in winning percentage, save percentage, and goals against average. He has a 0.75 goals against average, a .970 save percentage, along with a perfect 4-0-0 record. He has made 20+ saves in each of his four starts this season while having a season high 27 saves in a 3-1 win over Clarkson on Nov. 15. This past weekend against Merrimack he recorded his second career shutout while making 24 saves. In 28 career games, the Bonnyville, Alta. native has a 2.17 goals against average and a .902 save percentage with 19 wins.
The Big Green are back in action this weekend for a pair of ECAC and Ivy games against Brown and Yale. The Big Green and Bears square off on Friday, Dec. 5 at 7 PM while Dartmouth and the Bulldogs play Saturday, Dec. 6 at 7 PM. To see the No. 10 Dartmouth men's hockey team in action, click here.
