AUSTIN, Texas – The Big Green battled the No. 16 Texas Longhorns for the third straight day, Sunday, wrapping up the first series of the 2025 season.
Dartmouth got on the board first, opening a one run lead in the first inning, but Texas scored four unanswered runs to defeat the Big Green, 4-1.

The Big Green were able to put two base runners on with only one out in the first inning. A wild pitch put runners on second and third for
Ethan Brown who drove in a run on a ground out.

The score stayed in Dartmouth's favor until the bottom of the third inning when three base hits tied the game for the Longhorns.

In the fifth inning, Texas took the lead, leading off their half of the inning with a homerun to right field. The Longhorns added another run in the sixth inning with a triple and base hit to extend their lead to two runs.

Texas added another run in the eighth inning to seal the 4-1 victory over the Big Green.

Nate Isler got the start for Dartmouth, giving up two runs, one earned, on five hits in 4.2 innings.
Danny Will made his second appearance of the season, recording an out on the one bater he faced.

Mac Burke made his first relief appearance for the Big Green, followed by
Kyle Klaric-Schell who tossed 2.1 hitless innings, allowing one run and fanning two in his first career appearance with the Big Green.

Joseph Chambers rounded out the day, collecting the last two outs of the game in his second appearance of the season.

Baseball will return to action next weekend, heading to Virginia for a three-game series with the Cavaliers. Friday's series opener is set for 3 p.m.
