HANOVER, N.H. – The Dartmouth Sailing team competed in two regattas this weekend, collecting their second and third podium finishes of the Spring Season. The Big Green finished third at the Legler Trophy, the NEISA Women's Team Race Championship and second at the Thompson Trophy, their highest finish of the spring season.
At the Women's Team Race Championships,

Charlotte West,
Faye Benjamin,
Olivia Drulard,
Sophie Menyhart, and
Sudi Zhao combined for a 10-7 record, good for third place.
The Big Green went 7-2 in the first round, defeating Boston College, Bowdoin, Coast Guard, Harvard, MIT, Roger Williams, and Tufts. Dartmouth collected the first two finishing positions in four of its seven wins. It also swept the middle finishing positions in two more races.
In the Gold Top 6, the Big Green defeated Tufts for the second time of the regatta and Brown for the first time. Dartmouth earned the first, second, and fifth finishing positions in both races.
In the next round, the Gold Top 4, Dartmouth went 2-3-4 against MIT to earn its lone win of the round, securing third place.
At Connecticut College, the Big Green collected their highest finish of the Spring Season thanks to a 12-6 record to secure second place.

In Round One, Dartmouth went 3-3, earning wins over Bowdoin, Connecticut College, and Stanford. The Big Green earned the first and second finishing positions in all three of their wins. They also added a first-place finishing position in a loss to the Yale Bulldogs.
The Big Green went undefeated in the second round, posting a perfect 6-0 record. They defeated Brown, MIT, and Yale for the first time of the regatta, as well as defeated the same three teams from Round One for a second time.
In Round Three, the Big Green went 3-3, collecting the regatta sweep of Bowdoin and Connecticut College. Dartmouth defeated MIT for the second straight round.
Dartmouth earned the first and second finishing positions in eight of their 12 wins.
With another successful spring weekend under their belt, the Big Green will shift their focus to both the Open and Women's Fleet Race New England Conference Championships. The Open races will be held at Brown at the Coast Guard Alumni Bowl while the women's races will be hosted by Yale at the Reed Trophy.
