HANOVER, N.H. – Dartmouth women's rugby welcomed Quinnipiac to Brophy Field on Saturday for its first game of the season. The Big Green scored early and often en route to a 59-0 win over the Bobcats.
They move to 10-4 all time against Quinnipiac and earn their ninth straight win over the Bobcats.
First-year
Marley Larkin opened the scoring in her first game for the Big Green just over 11 minutes in, giving Dartmouth a 5-0 lead.
Exactly ten minutes later,
Paola Arredondo Almeida doubled Dartmouth's lead with her first try of the season.
Annie Henrich made the conversion to make it a 12-0 game.
Larkin scored the next two tries for the Big Green at 29:46 and 37:51 to make the score 24-0.
Arredondo Almeida scored her second try of the game at the end of the first half and Henrich made her third conversion of the game to give Dartmouth a 31-0 lead headed into halftime.
To open the second half, Henrich scored her first try and fourth conversion to make it a 38-0 game.
Reece Moody also scored her first career try for the Big Green to bring the score to 43-0.
Katelyn Walker got on the board for the first time this season a try before Henrich collected another conversion.
Larkin, who opened the scoring also closed the scoring for the Big Green with a final try at 78 minutes. Henrich made the conversion to bring the final score to 59-0.
The Big Green will now head on the road for three straight games starting next weekend at Navy. Kickoff on Saturday, September 6 is set for 11 a.m.
