FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Following a weekend off due to a game cancellation, Dartmouth women's rugby returned to action, taking on Sacred Heart to conclude two straight road games.
Despite Sacred Heart getting on the board first and a back and forth first half, the Big Green came out on top, defeating the Pioneers, 43-29. With the win, Dartmouth moves to 3-0 on the season.
The Pioneers opened the scoring just under four minutes in, taking a 7-0 lead on a try and conversion. A few minutes later,
Cindy Taulava blocked a kick into the try zone to cut into the Pioneers lead, making it a 7-5 game. Shortly after,

At the 15:37 minute mark, Sacred Heart retook the lead with a try. Less than seven minutes later, Dartmouth responded. A try from
Abygail Lambert and a conversion from
Annie Henrich gave the Big Green a 17-12 lead.
The back-and-forth continued as Sacred Heart scored a try to tie the game at 17 points apiece. About 10 minutes later,
Reece Moody stole the Sacred Heart lineout, giving
Vasiti Turagavou an opportunity to touch the ball down. A successful conversion once again put the Big Green back on top, 24-17.
Both Sacred Heart and Dartmouth would each get one more try before the half ended, Henrich's for the Big Green coming at 44:03, as Dartmouth led 29-22 at halftime.
Arielle Fotso kicked off scoring in the second half, and Henrich made her third conversion of the game to make it a 36-22 game in favor of the Big Green. A Sacred Heart try and conversion pulled them within seven points, but
Marley Larkin's try and a fourth Henrich conversion before the 79
th minute mark sealed the 43-29 victory for their Big Green.
In addition to being 3-0 on the 2025 15s season, the Big Green are 4-0 all time against the Pioneers.
