CHICAGO, Ill. – The Dartmouth men's tennis team went 2-1 over the weekend at XS Tennis Village, earning wins over Army and DePaul while falling to Cal Poly.
"DePaul hosted a great event and for us it produced three high quality college tennis matches. All weekend guys stepped up and produced great tennis while also identifying what we need to improve going forward. Happy to come out of the weekend with two great wins."

The Big Green opened the weekend with a 4-2 victory over Army. Dartmouth secured the doubles point with wins from the pairs of
Henry Ren and
Miles Groom, along with
Malhar Patel and
Calvin Wang. In singles play,
Adrian Treacy earned a straight-set win at No. 2, while Groom added a victory at No. 3.
Yujiro Onuma clinched the match at No. 4 with a three-set comeback, 5-7, 7-5, 6-3.
"Proud of Miles for posting a singles win in all three matches this weekend. He's been a great leader by example for our team and a catalyst in pushing us to compete at our highest level." DeSanto said.
On Sunday, Dartmouth picked up a strong 4-1 win over DePaul. The Big Green again claimed the doubles point behind victories from Patel and Wang, along with
Denny Bao and
Kornel Halmos. In singles play, Treacy rallied for a three-set win at No. 3, while
Miles Groom and
Leo Pade added victories to seal the dual.
Dartmouth's lone loss of the weekend came against Cal Poly, falling 4-2 in a competitive matchup.
Kornel Halmos and Groom each earned singles wins for the Big Green, with Halmos winning in straight sets at No. 2 and Groom picking up a victory at No. 4.
