Men's Golf Finishes Third At Battle at Rum Pointe

BERLIN, MD—Dartmouth men's golf finished third in the Battle at Rum Pointe hosted by Iona. The tournament was 36 holes with the Big Green finishing +14.

Luke Harper was the was the top finisher for the Big Green as he finished tied for fourth at +1. In the opening round he came out and shot a -1 71, in the second round he finished +2 as he shot a 74.

Fin Szafnauer tied for ninth across the 36 holes as he finished +2. He opened the weekend by shooting an even 72 before shooting a +2 74 in the second round.

Tyler Brand was just one stroke back of Szafnauer as he finished tied for 11^th place. He started the tournament by carding a +1 73 in the first round. In the second round he finished +2 with a 74.

Aaron Zhang was the fourth best finisher for the Big Green as he tied for 21^st at +5. In the opening round he signed for a +4 76. The second round saw Zhang shoot a +1 73 to close out the tournament.

Benjamin Wang tied for 70^th in the two-day event. He shot an 84 in the opening round but then took 10 strokes off his second-round score to card a 74.

Colin Keith tied with Wang in 70^th as he finished +14. In the first round he shot a +4 82 before tallying a 76 in the second round.

Ian Davis finished tied for 81^st at the +16. He carded an 82 in the first round but responded with a +4 76 in the second round.

Cameron Keith finished 94^th at +22. In the first round he shot an 85 but shaved four strokes off in the second round as he shot an 81.

The Big Green are back on the course on Saturday, Apr. 11 for the first day of the Princeton Invitational at Springdale Golf Club. The tournament concludes on Sunday, Apr. 12.
