After a six-month hiatus, Hilary rejoins the Dartmouth ski team as the Nordic Assistant. Originally from Northern Maine, she spent a decade racing for the Maine Winter Sports Center as a biathlete and later a sprint specialist. She competed at five World Junior Biathlon Championships before college and notched a bronze in the classic sprint at the 2006 Junior Nationals. At Dartmouth, she skied with the development team for two seasons before taking winters off to sprint race on the Supertour circuit. In the 2013/14 season, her fifth and final year at Dartmouth, she coached for the Ford Sayre Youth Program and directed the Friday race program. Fascinated by the mental aspects of sport, Hilary plans to expand her knowledge of sports psychology by working closely with Dartmouth Peak Performance staff in the coming year. Aside from working with the Nordic team, she will be preparing applications for law school, convincing Kate to take her Alpine skiing and trying to stay warm in her cabin.
