Was on his way to being one of the impact freshmen in 2007 only to see his first year of college football ended prematurely by a knee injury in Week 2...Worked hard to rehab from surgery and was in uniform although not hitting, during spring drills...one of 12 students appointed to Dartmouth's Committee on Standards, which deals with academic and behavioral cases at the college
2007: Made three tackles in jayvee game against Middlebury and moved into varsity lineup a week later against New Hampshire but suffered season-ending knee injury.
High School: South Carolina’s independent school defensive player-of-the-year...”Talking captain” of the Shrine Bowl team...Holds school record for single-season tackles (132) and career tackles (432)...Four-year varsity player and two-year captain...Also lettered in track and baseball...Played golf as a freshman.
Personal: Interned in summer of 2008 with the Department of Commerce in South Carolina, working in the research department...President of senior class...First Ivy football player in 40 years at Hammond...
