Had returned from numerous injuries during his career and was set to play this fall as a fifth-year senior, only to suffer a career-ending injury in the Green-White scrimmage last spring … helping out the coaching staff in his final year of eligibility … student of the game who could succeed in the coaching ranks in the future.
Senior (2008)
Winner of Dartmouth’s Manners Makyth Man Award as the player who best conducts himself to the advantage of Dartmouth and displayed good manners … played in each of the first five games before missing the final five with an injury … had two tackles in four of his five appearances, including a pair of solo stops in the opener at Colgate … assisted on a third-down tackle to hold the runner one yard shy of a first down versus New Hampshire, forcing a punt.
Junior (2007)
Appeared in seven games with 16 tackles … posted five stops against Brown and four each against Yale and Cornell … had 11 tackles over final three games…Registered tackles for loss against Yale and Cornell.
Sophomore (2006)
Played two games before being lost to a broken ankle and torn ligaments … posted four tackles before being hurt.
Freshman (2005)
Started the first two games as a freshman before being sidelined for the season to repair a lingering knee problem … had six tackles and an interception in his first collegiate game, a win over Colgate … recorded nine stops a week later against UNH.
High School
Lettered for three years … team captain … Wayne Hills won 2002 and 2004 North 1, Group 3 state titles … helped team to 12-0 mark as sophomore and 10-2 record senior year … wide receiver/safety named all-league, all-county and all-area as junior and senior, and chosen to the AP All-New Jersey third team as a senior … all-league and all-county selection in baseball as a junior.
Personal
Economics major … son of Dale and Lisa … born on June 6, 1987 … made the Dartmouth baseball team as a walk-on outfielder as a freshman, starting 12 of 23 games … chose to concentrate on football after losing two seasons to injury … interned with Public Service Electric and Gas in New Jersey … studied at University of Otago in New Zealand … father, Dale, participated in football, track and baseball at Springfield College.
