2025-26 (Sophomore): Had a breakout season for the Big Green as he played in all 35 games and nearly doubled his point production…scored 18 goals while adding 22 assists on the top Big Green line…tied for third in the ECAC in total points with 40…named All-Ivy First Team and All-ECAC Second Team…finished the season with five power play goals…notched a +20 rating…won a team best 396 faceoffs at a 52.9% win rate…was 13th in the country in total faceoff wins…had 10 multi-point games including a four point game against Brown on Dec. 5 and three three point games…Hobey Baker nominee…scored his 18th goal of the year in the NCAA Tournament against Wisconsin…had points in four of five postseason games with four goals and an assist…was named a New England All-Star
2024-25 (First-Year): Played in 32 games for the Big Green in his first year in Hanover…scored five goals and added 16 assists…scored his first NCAA goal against New Hampshire on Dec. 13…scored twice against Providence on Dec. 29 in the Ledyard Classic Championship…tallied three assists against Havard on Feb. 7 for his first three point game…ended the season on a six game point streak
Prior to Dartmouth: Cleaves starts his collegiate career following two seasons with the Vernon Vipers of the BCHL. In two seasons with Vernon, he skated in 94 games while scoring 28 goals with 61 assists. In 2023-24, he set career highs in both goals with 15 and assists with 36. Cleaves finished fifth in the BCHL in points per game in 2023-24 as he averaged 1.24 points per game. During his two seasons with the Vipers played in 21 playoff games, he tallied 12 postseason points.
