Prior to Dartmouth: Buckley comes to Dartmouth after playing three seasons of junior hockey. This past season he played 42 games in the BCHL between the Spruce Grove Saints and Surrey Eagles. He scored 10 goals while adding six assists. He started his junior career with the Calgary Canucks of the AJHL in 2023-24 and tallied six points in 23 games. In 2024-25, he split his season between the AJHL and BCHL, in 54 games he totaled 19 points between Calgary, Drayton Valley and Alberni Valley.
