Why Dartmouth?

For me, Dartmouth seemed to check off all my boxes; it was everything I was looking for when choosing a college. Coming from England, Dartmouth seemed to offer far more than any University back home could compete with: the breathtaking location, the outstanding undergraduate focus, a genuine focus on extra curricular activities, integral support for student athletes are to name but a few of the awesome traits of Dartmouth. .

How long have you been rowing and what interested you about rowing?

I have been rowing for 5 years now, and started when I was 13. I started high school with the intention of rowing; I had played rugby and was good at cross country and was therefore keen to start a new sport where i could continue competing at a high level and use the fitness I had from cross country.

Have you won any awards?

I have specific awards to my name, but have been a member of the GB under 16 national team; was Captain of the Junior Welsh National Team in 2010, and have won numerous national medals with my high school crews.

Something interesting about yourself?

I hope someday to retire to the Caribbean with a variety of exotic pets, including a tortoise and a monkey.

Plans for the future?

Right now I really hope to push the rowing as far as I can. After graduating from Dartmouth I want to spend a year training at Leander Club back in England, then hopefully go on to row in the boat race the year after. Career wise, I haven't many ideas what I want to do, although I can see myself coaching the sport somewhere down the line.
