Upcoming Event: Men's Heavyweight Rowing at Head of the Charles on October 18, 2025

Men's Heavyweight Rowing
at Head of the Charles
1. Where are you from and whom did you row for prior to Dartmouth?
I am a walk-on from near Anchorage, Alaska. I didn't row until Dartmouth, but I cross country ski raced and ran in high school.
2. Why did you choose Dartmouth and the Dartmouth Rowing Program?
I chose Dartmouth because there are a lot of fun and diverse people and opportunities at Dartmouth, and it's different than Alaska but has some important simliarities like a real winter, forests, a clean river and adventurous people.
3. What do you participate in at Dartmouth, apart from rowing?
I go on Dartmouth Outing Club trips and soon I plan to study glaciers or something like that.
4. Tell me something about yourself that might come as a surprise to your teammates.
My grandpa rowed for Harvard.
5. What is your best memory from rowing at Dartmouth so far?
There are a lot of memories and it's hard to say which one is best. Hanover weather is memorable: we rowed in a short but very strong downpour which churned the surface of the water into whitewater.
6. What are your plans for the future?
They are not very defined but they may involve mountains, fish and Alaska.
